Charlie's Genealogy Site
I've built this page as a starting point for various genealogy/family history pages. I became interested in family history only a few years ago, perhaps prompted by the realisation (amongst many others) that I had singularly failed to quiz my elderly relatives on their childhood, family life and recollections of family history. The following quote sums things up rather nicely:
The individual who would admit his indifference to an acquaintance with the names and histories of those who have preceded him on this stage of existence, and from whom he has derived his being, must be strangely deficient in the better sympathies of our nature, and little accustomed to contemplative restrospection.
