    • Early Life
      Beatrix Elizabeth Campbell was born c. 1740; she was baptised on the 22nd of November 1740 at Killin in Stirlingshire, the seventh daughter of Patrick Campbell and his wife, Ann Campbell.

      Family Life
      Beatrix married James Murdoch of Kilmadock on the 21st of August 1762 at Kilmadock in Doune, Stirlingshire. They had ten children; see his entry for more details on the family.

      Death
      Beatrix died on the 5th of February 1817, as recorded on an inscription at Kilmadock Cemetery:
      B 17[4]3. John MURDOCH 18.1.17(42] 37, wife Margaret McNIVEN 23.12.1756 59, son James died Bridge of Teith 29.9.1822 86 (wife Beatrix CAMPBELL5.2.1817 77). Also John MURDOCH (father Captain J. C. MURDOCH) died Edinburgh 23.1.182[3] [3] y 2 m

      Beatrix's husband James survived her for another 5 years.
