  • Notes
    • Early Life
Alice Eustace was the daughter of Giles Eustace and Joan ____; she (Alice) would have been born no later than 1496 (her father Giles died in 1495); by extrapolation from descendents we can estimate a birth some time around 1485 as a best guess.

In Hart of Donegal1 she is described as:
Sister and heir of Thomase Eustace of Highgate, & buried in St Botolph's, Aldersgate.
A pedigree of the Eustaces at British History Online (Appendix V: Pedigree of Eustace and Hart) gives her father as Giles Eustace and Joan (no surname given); we follow this pedigree.

Both Alice's father Giles and her brother Thomas are mentioned in the British History Online entry for Hornsey, including Highgate:
Giles Eustace, mentioned in 1462, and an illicit brewer in 1480, acquired the Cornerhouse, beside High Street, in 1490. Two houses stood there when he made his will in 1495 and a brew-house and horse-mill were leased by Thomas Eustace in 1525.

      Family Life
Alice married Thomas Hart of Highgate; the date of their marriage is not known but was presumably some time around 1505-1510 (based on extrapolation from descendents).

      Death
Given that Alice was heir to her brother Thomas, and Thomas was alive in 1525, she must have died after 1525.
