Early Life
Possibly the Sir Robert Rockley, shown in Foster's pedigrees (Volume 2) who married Elizabeth Fitzwilliam, daughter of Sir William Fitzwilliam of Sprotborough (though Foster doesn't show a daughter called Alice). This Rockley family extends back to Robert Rockley, son of William FitzGodric and Albreda de Lizours, who are also in my tree.
By my estimates, Elizabeth Fitzwilliam would have been born some time after 1377 (the date of birth of her eldest brother John). This corresponds well with the extrapolated ages for Robert Rockley and for their daughter Alice. Finally, the Robert who married Elizabeth FitzWilliam was the son of Alice Sheffield; the repetition of the name Alice in his daughter adds further weight to the hypothesis. So I'm going to assume this connection as valid.
