  Somes sources suggest Dorothy's ancestors were from Grimsditch in Cheshire, but there were much closer Grimsditches in Much Hadham, Hertfordshire, who seem more likely. There is a baptism of a Dorothy Grimsditch on 11 Jul 1571 at Much Hadham in Hertfordshire, father noted as "Thomas"; nothing in Cheshire. This tree: https://www.geni.com/people/Thomas-Grimsditch-Sr/6000000007606647076 has placed assumed this is the right Dorothy. This link hints that there is a connection between the Grimsditches of Much Hadham and the Bunces and the Brockmans. La Neve's gives her father as Thomas of Grimesditch in Surrey. There are indications that there was a Grim's Dyke, which later became Grimsditch, in Hertfordshire near Much Hadham.
